Residential Home Inspection
A home inspection or property inspection "is simply a description of the condition of the home or property on the day we inspect it." During your home inspection, we do a visual, non-invasive examination of the condition of the property at the time of the inspection. Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive report of everything we can see and equip you with the information and knowledge so you can make an educated decision on how to proceed with your property purchase.
The objective is a visual examination of the physical structure and major systems of a home, from roof to foundation, per ASHI "Standards of Practice". A standard home inspection report typically summarizes findings from a visual inspection of the home's condition, often including heating and central air conditioning systems, interior plumbing and electrical systems, roof, attic and visible insulation, walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors, foundation, basement, and visible structures.
Our Scope includes:
- Finishes like brick and siding, trim, exterior, and storm windows
- Roof, chimney, flashing, and valleys
- Gutters and downspouts
- Driveways, patios, decks, and porches
- Walls, floors, ceilings, and windows
- Plumbing systems
- Electrical systems
- Heating/Cooling systems
- Plus a list of additional items relevant to the specific property.
